Sixth Form Talk 6pm Tuesday 5th February.

We are holding an additional Sixth form information talk for those students and parents who were not able to attend the open evening in November. This is an opportunity to learn about our school and our Sixth Form. You will hear from the Head of Sixth Form and from current Y12 students. The evening is for information only – school tours are not available in the evening -  though you are warmly invited to view and tour the school on any day. We pride ourselves on being open about the quality of teaching and learning visible every day. You do not need to book for the evening, but if you could indicate your attendance by emailing Louise Wetherall, Office Manager (louise.wetherall@sirthomasfremantle.org), then this would be appreciated.
Please note - the deadline for Sixth Form applications to be handed in is 15th February 2019.

Welcome to Sir Thomas Fremantle Secondary School

STFS is the newest secondary school in north Buckinghamshire. Opening in 2013 it is heavily oversubscribed and, when full, will be home to around 600 students including our 6th form. Our GCSE results for both 2017 and 2018 firmly establish STFS as one of the highest performing non-selective schools across Buckinghamshire & Milton Keynes. Our results in English, Maths, Sciences and Computing are particularly strong but we are confident in the quality of all of our teaching staff across all subjects.

Our enviable new facilites, which opened in June 2017, will give our students even greater opportunities in the years ahead.

Sir Thomas Fremantle adds to the secondary school choice for the children and parents of North Buckinghamshire. We are a small, inclusive local fully comprehensive school where the aim is to release the potential of each individual child through a curriculum which, in tandem with very high expectations for commitment to academic study, builds confidence and self-esteem through diverse opportunities to participate in drama, music, sport and art. A strong sense of community and parental engagement to support their child’s education are key contributors to each student’s success. There is a real focus on the development of the whole-child and our extended school day, with all the additional opportunity this brings, is central to this aim.

Ofsted rated the school as 'Good' overall with 'Outstanding' for behaviour and safety in May 2015.
