Our Academic Achievements
GCSE Results Summer 2023
We are pleased that despite the challenges of the past years, the hard work and capacity of all of our students across the breadth of their courses has been recognised.
Sir Thomas Fremantle School is focussed on the progress of all students, and we are proud of all our students achieve. We feel confident that students will leave us not only with a strong set of results, but also with the skills necessary to contribute to society and thrive in it.
This year, 60% of students achieved 5 or more 9-4 or equivalent grades, with 63% of students achieved 4+ in both English and Maths.
Today we‘re celebrating both the achievements of those students who have achieved outstanding overall grades, and those who have made exceptional progress.
As usual, we have students who have produced brilliant work, and secured top grades. For example, Freya Tebbutt secured seven grade 9 qualifications, alongside two grade 8s & a grade 6. Robert Jantovics secured 3 grade 9s and 4 grade 8s.
STFS has however always focussed on the exceptional progress of all students, regardless of their individual starting points. We want to celebrate the hard work of students like Noah Taylor, whose dedication meant he got five grades higher than his progress target in one subject, and between two and three grades above target in many more. This pattern of achievement was visible across a wide range of students, including Phoebe Root, Ella Myatt and Hallam Steer.
We wish them all the very best for their future endeavours
