School Meals

We have partnered with Aspens Services, a market leading contract catering company specialising in school food. They prepare and cook fresh food on site in our kitchen and provide delicious homemade dishes every day. The menus feature a variety of themes and include as standard a street food dish, a hand held version, vegetarian/vegan choices along with a selection of sides.

Here is the current menu for the Autumn/Winter season. It rotates on a three weekly basis and will change to the Spring/Summer menu in February.

Cashless Payment System

We operate a cashless payment system in school. Each student has a fingerprint linked to their Parent/Carer’s Arbor Parent Portal account which is used to pay for their food. Parents and carers can add money to the account (by credit/debit card or Google Pay), and keep track of what their child is buying.

Free School Meals

Your child is eligible for free school meals if you’re in receipt of one of the following benefits:

Universal Credit with an annual net earned income of no more than £7,400.
Income Support
Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance
Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
Support under Part 6 of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
The guarantee element of Pension Credit
Working Tax Credit run-on (paid for the four weeks after you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit)
Child Tax Credit (with no Working Tax Credit) with an annual income of no more than £16,190

Please complete the form via the link below to check if your child is eligible.

If your child is eligible for free school meals, they’ll also qualify for the Holiday Activity and Food Programme. Food vouchers may also be available through the Household Support Fund.

If your child is in receipt of free school meals at their current school, you will not need to make a new application when they join STFS.

Your Free School Meal application will also trigger an eligibility check for Pupil Premium - a extra payment made to the school to help a student reach their full potential. The money is allocated to the child and can be used towards the cost of school trips, uniform, extra tuition, a Chromebook, stationery, or anything the child needs to assist them with their learning

If you have any queries regarding free school meals at STFS, please contact us at office@sirthomasfremantle.org

You can find more information about free school meals and Pupil Premium on the Buckinghamshire Council website.
