Knowledge	Philosophy We consider the arguments for the existence of God, such as the argument from design, first cause and morality. We also consider other’s beliefs that there is no God. We look at ideas of evil and suffering, immortality, miracles and revelation.	Buddhism We consider Siddartha Gautama’s personal sacrifice, Enlightenment and the Four Noble Truths. We consider the Eightfold Path and what this means for a Buddhist. Furthermore, we look at relevant symbols and images within the religion. We then consider the importance of pilgrimage.	Ethics 1 We look at what “ethics” is. We consider the influence of God on the way people live and behave. We consider whether utilitarianism is useful for making decisions. We consider the value of life, organ donation, IVF, euthanasia. We also consider the rights of women within this topic.
