Knowledge | Caribbean Music Recapping knowledge of chords, students will study music from the Caribbean music, starting with Calypso and Soca before moving into Reggae and Bob Marley | Song Writing Students will learn the main chord progressions used in pop songs, and the structure of pop songs. They will work in groups in creating and performing a song from scratch. | Classical Music Through Time Stretching and challenging students, this topic will explore famous piece of classical music, and students will learn about the history of classical composers (Beethoven, Mozart & Handel). Students will deepen their music theory understanding | Fusion - Bandlab Composition Linking from the previous topic, students will explore how classical music has been brought into the modern day by fusion with club music.
