School Cafe Menus
Here are the current Autumn/Winter menus for our cafe. The menus repeat every three weeks and will change to the Spring/Summer menus after February half-term.
The Meal Deal is exactly the same as last year, and remains an absolute bargain!
Larisa and the Aspens Services Team prepare and cook everything on-site in our kitchen, using fresh ingredients which are locally sourced where possible.
The cafe is open from 8am for breakfast, at break and lunch times. There is no need to pre-book, just ensure your child has funds available in their lunch account - this can be topped up via Arbor.
Food Technology and Catering & Hospitality
We had our first full week of practical lessons in food this week:
Our new year 10 Hospitality & Catering and GCSE food groups both made gateaux. The students made a genoise sponge and then decorated using Chantilly cream and fresh fruit. The students also learned how to pipe cream and use a piping bag.
IT System Migration
The migration of our IT systems is now complete, and the only system/app parents and carers need is the Arbor Parent Portal. Please delete ClassCharts and ParentPay as you will no longer need them.
The Arbor Parent Portal provides the following functions:
Take a look at your child’s key attendance information, including their average attendance for the year so far
Edit contact details for your child such as your home address or phone number
Register your child for an after-school club
Register your child for an upcoming school trip
Take a look at your child's behaviour information, including positive & negative behaviour points awarded this year
Manage your child’s payment accounts and pay for meals or trips directly
View your child’s progress reports
Book slots at parent/guardian consultations
See your child’s timetable
Add new medical information about your child
Check upcoming homework assignments

New School Lockers
